Don Fernando gave his age of about thirty in 1681 (and "forty" in the same year), and then in later testimonies of 1691 when he gave his age as forty-four, and sixty in a subsequent on of 1711. On the average, these would place his birth around the year 1650. (Chavez, P.42)
Don Fernando was described in 1681 as a settler willing to return, thirty years old, married, and having a good stature with a fair and ruddy complexion. Revolt, I, p. 141; Sp. Arch., II, No. 5.
In 1716, Don Fernando's wife was referred to as a widow. (Chavez, P.66) Sp. Arch., I, No. 269.
Fernando married Lucia Hurtado De Salas Y Trujillo, daughter of Andres Hurtado and Bernardina De Salas Y Trujillo. (Lucia Hurtado De Salas Y Trujillo died on 3 Feb 1729 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo, New Mexico 34.)
