Pedro Sanchez De Inigo

"Pedro Sanchez de Inigo was born in New Mexico, the natural son of Ana (Juana) Lopez... A Francisca Sanchez de Inigo, the wife of Captain Juan Garcia de Noriega, was most likely his sister. And he could well be a 'Pedro Lopez de Yniguez' who was soldiering at Guadalupe del Paso prior to the Reconquest. Pedro first settled in the Rio Arriba area, and in 1696, his wife was killed by the Indians of San Ildefanso with her mother, a brother, and her two childre.
By the turn of the century Pedro had married a Maria Lujan at Bernalillo, moving shortly afterwards back to the Rio Arriba country. At Santa Cruz, in 1710, he gave his age as thirty-six, stating that he was a resident there, and married. In 1713 he was mentioned as a brother-in-law of Diego Martin, son of Domingo Martin. He was dead by 1720 when a daughter got married." (Origins, p.279-280)

Pedro married Leonor Baca, daughter of Ignacio Baca and Juana De Anaya Almazon, on 7 Jan 1692 in Real DE San Lorenzo. (Leonor Baca was born about 1678 in New Mexico ²⁵⁹.)

Pedro next married Maria Lujan, daughter of Matias Lujan and Francisca Romero. (Maria Lujan was born about 1679 in New Mexico ²³⁰.)
